Aid with mistake code: 00256 - A/C Force per unit area/Temperature Sensor (G395)
Hi. Discovered this error code today:
08-Car HVAC:
00256 - A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor (G395)
004 - No Signal/CommunicationAC seems to work fine though. Anyone know the symptoms of this code? Anything I can check/test in VCDS? I mean before I've to take the bumper off to check the connector and sensor visually
This showed up virtually a month agone along with:

I checked 08-Auto HVAC, MVB 54 in VCDS and all 4 blocks read 0. Which makes sense if there's no communication I guess. Why is at that place no betoken though.

My first recommendation is to clear the codes and meet if it comes back. Sometimes the machine's computers will meet something random that it doesn't like and create a code despite it being a 1-off event. At present, if the code returns then you know there'due south something going on.

I've cleared it and it does come back. Fuse and relay is fine. Gauge only option is to check the connector and sensor itself no?

In that case I'm not sure, wish I could be of more help. Did some searching and looks similar an piece of cake replacement every bit our C6's sensor is in the same place as the B8s and seems to have solved the codes by replacing that sensor.

Thank you. Yep, looks like I'll endeavour and replace it. Unfortunately, unless you've actually tiny easily, I'll have to remove the bumper to supervene upon it. Or at to the lowest degree put it in service position. It's on the side of the radiator

One-time thread, only did you take to remove the bumper or put in service position to supplant the sensor? My Air conditioning didn't work when I bought my S4, and the dealership recharged the system but it still didn't work, and they couldn't observe any other problems to told me to spend $4k replacing the AC unit. Couple months later on I get an OBDeleven and have the 00256 code. I'k probably non lucky enough for merely a sensor to fix the problem, but damn worth trying.
